Getting Started with OceanDrive

This guide walks you through every step of the onboarding flow — from the welcome screen to your first AI-generated marketing kit. Follow each step in order and you'll have your brand set up, your goal locked in, and your starter kit generated in under 10 minutes.

1

Welcome

When you first sign up, you land on the Welcome screen. This is a one-time setup — you won't see it again after completing onboarding.

The Welcome step also silently provisions your workspace in the background. By the time you click Get started, your workspace and brand IDs are already created and your session is scoped. No waiting required.

What to do: Click Get started. That's it. The step auto-advances once your workspace is ready — usually instant.
2

Brand Setup

This is the most important step. Everything the AI generates — funnels, emails, strategy, avatars — is shaped by what you enter here. Take 2–3 minutes to fill it in properly.

Brand Name

Your business or brand name. Required — must be at least 2 characters.

Tagline

Optional but powerful. A short phrase that captures your positioning. Used in email footers, funnel headlines, and link hub pages.

Website + Smart Scan

Add your website URL and click Scan. OceanDrive crawls your site and extracts brand signals — CTAs, testimonials, color palette, and positioning language. These signals feed directly into AI generation. The more your site reflects your brand, the better the output.

Logo

Optional. Upload a PNG or SVG. When you upload a logo, OceanDrive automatically extracts your brand colors from it using pixel analysis — saving you the manual color picker step. You can always override them.

Industry

Pick from the dropdown or type your own. Used to set industry-specific baselines for AI copy tone, benchmark KPIs, and strategy recommendations.

Business Type

Choose one: Coach / Creator, Consultant, Agency, or Local Business. This shapes your funnel CTAs — "book a call" vs "apply for a session" vs "visit us". If you select Coach / Creator, you'll see a secondary picker for coaching focus (health, fitness, life, business, executive, relationship) which sets performance baselines.

Lead Magnet (optional)

Upload a PDF guide, checklist, or resource. OceanDrive stores it as a Lead Magnet record and wires it to your funnel opt-in page automatically during SmartStart generation. You can always attach it manually later from the funnel builder if you skip this step now.

Brand Colors

At least 2 colors required. Pick a primary and accent. If you uploaded a logo, click Use logo colors to auto-fill. These colors are used in funnel templates, email headers, and link hub pages.

Ready to continue when: Brand name is filled in, at least 2 colors are set, and your workspace is provisioned (the button will enable automatically).
3

Set Your Goal

Pick the one goal that best describes what you want marketing to do for you right now. This guides everything the AI prioritizes in your starter kit.

  • More Leads
Grow your pipeline and fill your calendar with qualified prospects. Optimizes for opt-in funnels, lead magnets, and nurture sequences.
  • Better Engagement
Build an audience that pays attention. Optimizes for content pillars, hook writing, and consistency frameworks.
  • Boost Sales
Convert more prospects and increase average transaction value. Optimizes for sales pages, checkout flows, and offer stacks.
  • Automate Marketing
Get your email sequences, content, and follow-ups running on autopilot. Optimizes for sequences, calendar planning, and automation logic.
You can only pick one. Don't overthink it — you can update your goal later from the Strategy Hub. Pick the one that feels most urgent right now.
4

Brand Insights

This step is what separates OceanDrive from every other AI tool. Instead of generic copy, the AI uses your actual brand knowledge — in your voice — to generate output that sounds like you from day one.

You need to answer at least 2 of the 4 questions to proceed. The more you fill in, the more specific your generated kit will be.

Biggest Customer Pain
What were your best customers struggling with before they found you? Write this as if you're describing a real person — the more specific, the better. This feeds directly into avatar pain points and email subject lines.
Your Best Client Result
The one outcome you're most proud of delivering. Numbers, timeframes, and before/after specifics make this more powerful. Used in offer copy, testimonial frameworks, and funnel headlines.
Word-of-Mouth Voice
How do happy clients describe you when they refer you to a friend? This is your brand voice in other people's words — often more accurate than what you'd write yourself. Used to synthesize your tone.
Content That Already Works
What post, email, or piece of content got the most response? Describe what it was about and why it resonated. Used to seed your hook scoring and strategy pillars.
These answers are stored privately in your brand profile. They never leave your account and are only used to improve your own AI output. You can update them anytime from Settings → Brand Prefs.

SmartStart — Generate Your Kit

SmartStart is the AI generation step. It takes everything you've entered — brand details, goal, business type, insights, and lead magnet — and generates your complete starter kit in 20–40 seconds.

What gets generated
  • Customer Avatars — 1–2 buyer personas with real pains, goals, objections, and buying triggers mapped from your insights
  • Starter Offer — A focused offer with a clear promise, bonuses, price anchoring, and risk-reversal copy
  • Simple Strategy — Channels, content pillars, proven hooks, and KPIs for the next 30 days
  • 3 Email Drafts — Welcome, nurture, and conversion emails in your synthesized tone
  • 7-Day Content Calendar — A realistic posting plan you can start executing immediately
  • Opt-in Funnel — If you uploaded a lead magnet, SmartStart wires it to a funnel opt-in page automatically
Toggle what gets made

You can uncheck Avatars, Offer, or Strategy if you already have those. At least one must be selected. Emails and calendar are always generated regardless of toggles.

The generation takes 20–40 seconds. A progress bar shows which step the AI is on. Don't close the tab — if it errors, the error message will tell you exactly what to fix (usually a missing website URL or a temporary rate limit).

QuickWin — What Was Created

After generation completes, you land on the QuickWin screen. This shows you a summary of everything that was created and gives you two paths forward.

Open Strategy Hub

Takes you to the Strategy Hub where you can review and edit your avatars, offer, and strategy. Recommended if you want to refine the output before using it.

Go to Dashboard

Takes you straight to the Dashboard command center. Your Next Best Actions will already be populated based on what was generated. Recommended if you want to start executing immediately.

If a funnel was created

If you uploaded a lead magnet, clicking Go to Dashboard will redirect you to the funnel builder with your newly created opt-in funnel open and ready to edit. From there you can customize the copy, add your branding, and publish.

Onboarding is complete. Everything generated is saved permanently to your brand profile. You can re-run SmartStart at any time from the Strategy Hub or generate individual assets (emails, funnels, content) from the AI Dock on any page.
What to do next
